Kindred Candidates is the story of Henry and James Clifton, father and son rivals on the road to the White House. Henry is a lifetime Republican and Governor of Arizona. His son is a Democratic Senator, also from Arizona. At the annual Thanksgiving dinner party, Henry and James, are again arguing over their differences. They compete over every little thing, even down to who wins at breaking the wishbone. At the suggestion of James's campaign manager, George White, they decide they are both going to run for president. This doesn't sit well with the rest of the family - Henry's wife, Anne, eldest daughter, Julie, and youngest son, Bill. May the better man win!
